Specialty espresso coffee from the Caparaó region of Brazil. A medium-roasted Yellow Bourbon honey blend, perfect for classic Italian brewing: notes of macadamia, honey, and a velvety texture. Also ideal for moka pots. Grown at 1,250 meters above sea level. Score 86.5/100.
This specialty coffee comes from Sítio Santa Rita, a family-run farm in the rural area of Espera Feliz, within the Serra Nacional Caparaó reserve, at 1,250 meters above sea level.
Medium Roast for Espresso
A medium roast profile specifically designed for espresso preparations with a traditional machine or moka pot. This roast enhances the sweetness and velvety body characteristic of Yellow Bourbon honey, fully developing the toasted macadamia and honey notes without burning the natural sugars.
Tarcísio and Jhone Lacerda: Four Generations of Tradition
Father and son represent the fourth and fifth generations of coffee producers in the prestigious Caparaó region, respectively. Their entirely family-run farm embodies the excellence of sustainable Brazilian agriculture.
Recognized and certified by the Rainforest Alliance , they actively collaborate on numerous natural habitat conservation programs. Their systematic exploration of various fermentation techniques has made them a popular player in the Brazilian specialty coffee scene.
Caparaó: protected territory
The Serra Nacional Caparaó is a protected nature reserve that guarantees a pristine ecosystem. High altitudes, a temperate climate, dense forests, and crystal-clear springs create ideal microclimates for excellent specialty coffee.
Yellow Bourbon: Brazilian elegance
A natural mutation of Red Bourbon, it produces yellow drupes and a sweet, balanced profile with notes of honey and dried fruit. It requires high altitudes (1000m+) for optimal quality.
Honey Process
After selective harvesting, the drupes are depulped, leaving some of the sugary mucilage adhering to the parchment. Drying for approximately 14 days develops the intense natural sweetness and velvety body characteristic of the honey process.
Sensory profile
Soft and sweet cup with velvety body (4/5)
High sweetness (4/5)
Medium acidity (3/5) balanced
Medium complexity (3/5)
Predominant notes of toasted macadamia nut complemented by acacia honey. A velvety texture envelops every sip with silky elegance. A balanced coffee, perfect for those seeking sweetness without sacrificing character.
